Words of hearing success by a Catholic Priest, Father. Z. Testimonial: Dr. Rich Reikowski, Au.D Family Hearing and Balance Center, Akron, Ohio

To help another to hear better and to lead them toward success is a blessing. I received this letter from Fr. Z, a man whom I have enjoyed helping to hear better. Fr. Z is a man that leads others, so well, to a stronger faith in God and love for others. He and I meet regularly in our office to ensure that he is hearing to the best of his abilities. On one visit, he commented that he noticed a sudden hearing loss in his left ear. Upon hearing this, I immediately referred him to one of the best Otologists in the NE Ohio area, if not in this country, Dr.. William H. Lippy, of the Lippy Group for ENT.  It was soon discovered that his sudden loss, of hearing in the left ear, would be permanent. We now need to continue to provide amplified sound and speech awareness for the right ear as well as deliver the left ear sound/speech, to the right ear, due to the profound hearing loss in the Left.

Upon use of the Phonak digital device, Bi-Cros, we had the opportunity to allow for the sounds that were currently not able to be heard on the left to now be picked up and  transferred wirelessly to the better ear, right side. He achieved immediate ability to perceive sound from the poor ear. He could talk on the phone and hear speech from his left side, transmitter. Thank you to Phonak for allowing me the opportunity to help Fr. Z, a man that I am so pleased to help!
