What’s that sound?

What is that sound?

“With my new hearing abilities, I was either at work or at home, can’t remember, but the sound I was hearing was new to me. The world sounds so crisp and alive! I find it amazing to experience the world in a different way. It’s as if the curtains were lifted and I’m hearing and seeing things anew!”

It’s great to hear stories like these as they are genuine and impactful on people and their lives. We can easily take for granted the ability to hear but missing sounds, and even forgetting what certain sounds sound like, is so important. Sounds are meaningful in our lives in countless ways. The enjoyment of life experiences are often found in the inflection of a voice as much as what was said. Our practice is fortunate to help those with their hearing.

I have heard stories like this from patients! Like how they forgot the sound of papers rustling. It amazes me how impactful hearing aids can be in people’s lives.

I guess everyone has received the post. Computer keyboards was a sound that I didn’t know existed.
