We Sponsored Weathervane Playhouse-Why Post it Here?

Click on Image

I was sitting in our planning meeting yesterday, and it was brought up to me that we should consider posting our Weathervane Playhouse patronage here. Why?

After the meeting, I began to walk through the reasonings the whys. We have a digital ad with every performance program. When people are searching on line for performances they would like to attend, again, our digital ad will pop up. Why post it here?

Then, this morning as I was waking up it came to me. (It amazes me when things become clearer after sleeping on it.)

The Theater is an escape and an experience of the senses. It is the ultimate enhancement that one might receive in a screen experience…no matter how large the screen. The Theater is sight, sound and smell.

Sound? That is where we come in. What is important to you is also important to us.

The immersive miracle can be in the hearing of the theater experience…

This story shall the good man teach his son;
And Crispin
Crispian shall ne’er go by,
From this day to the ending of the world,
But we in it shall be
remembered;
We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
Shall be my brother; be he ne’er so vile,
This day shall gentle his condition:
And gentlemen in England now a-bed
Shall think themselves accursed they were not here,
And hold their
manhood’s cheap whiles any speaks
That fought with us upon Saint Crispin’s day.

From Henry V, Act IV, Scene III

This wonderful speech…to hear the emotion, the yelling, and the sound of the drums during the speech made me fall in love with the theater. The sounds!

So that is our goal. To work with our patients and others who struggle to hear while at in the theater. Weathervane does have a loop system so the sounds produced will go right into your device. You just need to make Weathervane aware when attending. Call 330-836-2626 and they are glad to help and provide any information.

Hear the emotion. Hear the sounds. Hear the audience response around them. Entertainment, escape, tears and laughter are all apart. That is why we are a Sponsor. That is why we are an advocate. That is why we should post something like this.

    Beautiful! I really enjoy going to the theater too. We used to go a lot to the theaters in the Theater District in Cleveland before covid. Hope to get back there soon.

    Thank you for sharing this! Yes, many hearing aids can be programmed to directly connect to loops like what is in the Weathervane Theatre. We can help with this.

    How wonderful! People should be able to fully experience the things they enjoy, especially when it comes to theater!
