We are seeing consistent and very successful outcomes in treating those with Tinnitus, with many options. The Neuromonics Device and the Widex Zen has offered significant successes in helping those to reduce their tinnitus. This morning I saw a patient for a tinnitus regular visit. After a few months of using the Neuromonics device, she has felt that even though she may still hear the ringing in her ears, she is not bothered or distracted by it’s negative affects. She is in the maintenance phase of the treatment and uses the device, approximately once every 1-2 weeks. She reports no need to use sounds, such as the fan/TV/radio, at night to sleep. In addition, she appears much more relaxed and comfortable in her appearance and posture. Outstanding!! It’s very rewarding to help our patients achieve a better quality of life!
We remain a Research Member of the American Tinnitus Association and a chief advocate in helping those with reducing their tinnitus. Also, it is our belief, to consistently monitor our tinnitus treatment with compiling results to prepare case studies. In these efforts, we gain valuable information to continue to foster successful outcomes as well as to discern the best means to help patients suffering from Tinnitus in the NE Ohio area. It is with pleasure that we remain one of three clinical sites, North of Columbus, offering the Neuromonics treatment, the others being The Cleveland Clinic and the Lippy Group for ENT.
I plan to write soon on our work with Widex labs and their digital hearing devices with Zen”
