Tinnitus Success and Research By Dr. Richard Reikowski, Au.D Family Hearing and Balance Center

We are very pleased with the outcomes and successes in helping those with tinnitus or ringing, buzzing, sounds in their ears. As a Research Member of the American Tinnitus Association since 2009, we have seen consistent ways to reduce the negative affects that tinnitus causes on a persons quality of life. For those with hearing loss, we have found the Resound TS, Widex Zen, as well as the Starkey Xino Tinnitus to be quite helpful. With these options, we have the ability to digitally improve the hearing, offer connection with others in conversations, as as well as digitally present tinnitus management withing the same hearing device. Upon a thorough assessment of the hearing, and frequency, loudness, and pitch of the tinnitus the best solution is better known

For those that have no hearing loss, we have found successful outcomes with the Neuromonics Oasis, Neuromonics Sanctuary, as well as the Sound Cure. These devices, as well as those for patients with hearing loss and tinnitus, have proven very successful in helping people to reduce their tinnitus awareness, improve sleep, reduce medications taken for anxiety and depression, as well as feel better in general.

Our subjective data collection and data obtained from sound room assessments provide the on-going monitoring of each patient. By these means, we can objectively convey and document successful changes in patients having tinnitus. This process is always moving. It’s with great honor and responsibility to help each patient move in the right direction…..
