This is my favorite spot….

I loved how this patient wanted to tell me about his “favorite spot”. Patients can now change how they hear in any given environment using their smartphone app. Once they do this, they can save those exact settings so that when they return to “their favorite place” their hearing aids will automatically adjust to the way they like it. It’s automatic!

He wanted to share with me how he adjusted the quality of sound, on his app, to help the clarity of speech in a challenging listening area. A little more bass, little less mid frequency sounds, a bit more high tones,….and that was just right. “This was perfect,” he said! I was thrilled that he took advantage of hands-on control to help himself hear to the best of his potential. He shared how much fun he’s having with the ability to do this.

The experience is everything. I can hear words, but cannot process them at times when I don’t have my aids in.

How awesome that he doesn’t need to fidget with the app every time. Just once and it does the work for you, very cool!
