The smallest pebble….By Dr. Richard Reikowski, Au.D Family Hearing and Balance Center

Have you ever walked around with a small pebble or stone in your shoe? It’s hard to imagine how tough that is with the irritation, discomfort, and soon pain to follow.

The small things that can grow into the biggest of issues. It’s in these things, small or big, that we are interested in helping. Because, even the smallest of pebbles can be a bother or even tripped over.

Our responsibility, in devotion to our patients, is to find, understand, and solve issues so even the smallest of things become clear and better. The smallest amount of debris causing a block in a hearing device can render it non functioning. However, a simple cleaning can resolve the matter. Hearing aids that whistle, or feed back, will cause frustration for the patient and others hearing this annoying sound. However, it’s easily resolved with digital adjustments and measurements to the device. Hearing devices that cause discomfort are most often not worn and are placed in a drawer. However, regular early visits easily resolve this with modifications to the size, shape, etc.

We are here, with full commitment, to help in any way we can with hearing, tinnitus, and balance issues.
