The closing of a cupboard sounded loud, sharp, and was too much. Now, after the adjustment of soft sound sensitivity and loud sensitivity, it’s much more comfortable, tolerable, and “real”. Easy fixes are quite simple, when we meet and talk with patients regularly.
We remain committed to creating close relationships with our patients. Regular communication and sharing is the key. Today’s digital technology can bring the rich, real, vibrant, and clear sounds of life like it should be. We have high expectations and enjoy the journey these journeys. After all, we believe in a true and genuine trust with each person we serve.
Amazing glad we could help with the sensitivity towards sounds!
I am as well. Thank you Sarah!
I’m so happy that patients are able to put their trust in us to help them have these moments.
I agree Liz. It is something we earn daily.
That’s wonderful! Always glad we can help!
I feel the same Gail!
Understandably so! Many folks demonstrate a greater sensitivity to louder sounds with hearing loss prior to experiencing hearing loss. Doors slamming, dishes clattering in the sink, paper crunching, and motors humming are just a few of many sounds in our everyday environments that could be more inviting to hear. The good news is that today’s hearing aid technology is so smart that it provides us, as your hearing health providers, the capabilities to finely tune each hearing device so that these common everyday sounds become more comfortable, as they should be. Loud sounds should still be loud, but not bothersome or startling. Investing in smart hearing aid technology will provide incredible benefits to both you and your family.
What a great series of points Monica! Yes, new technology helps sounds to be more natural and in perspective.
this so important…
I remember hearing a keyboard for the first time, and my own voice.
How true Kaylee! Thank you for sharing this!
