Super glue, Band-Aids, and Hair Pins….

A patient shared how such simple things can fix major things. She went on to say, that she would “band aid fix” her older VW bug by wrapping a wire to a solenoid and it worked. The car started just fine! As the wire wore out or loosed, she would put a new “band aid” on every now and then and it fixed it each time.

She also shared how the carburetor pin would break and this caused the engine to have a fast acceleration, as the gas flow was wide open. When this happened, she’d pop the clutch to stall it out. The stories continued with the roll pin needing repaired. She asked her mom for a bobby pin and ta da… it was repaired! I was amazed at her talents in fixing things and how clear these memories were from 50 years ago. She was quite nostalgic in recalling these stories, with a smile…:)

Often we fix hearing devices, normally a really big deal, with an easy fix. The list goes on….. Great stuff!
