Ready to go swimming!…..By Dr. Richard Reikowski Family Hearing and Balance Center Akron, Ohio

Swim moldOur patient, and her husband came in yesterday and were so excited to tell me where they were going on vacation in March. She said they were to go to the various islands Cozumel, Belize, Grand Cayman on a cruise!! She was thrilled that she had her swim mold and wanted me to to check it over to ensure it’s in good  condition. I looked at it and said, “Yes, it’s ready to go swimming”.

She and her husband have been so kind in sharing how pleased they are with her services as well as consistent care. Swim molds are very helpful for those that get swimmers ear or infections in their ears after swimming. They are easy to have made after an ear impression is made. We receive the custom molds for the fitting within 2 weeks. We see each other every three months for checkups to ensure that her hearing device is working well and thoroughly cleaned. I am very happy to be a part of her hearing care, to get the opportunity to meet such kind people, as well as to ensure she’s confident in swimming to keep her ear dry. Have fun on vacation!!
