I found this on my Facebook this morning, and in some over active thinking, the possible analogies were overwhelming. This was posted by Stacey Michaels Larson, who was our GN ReSound Inside Rep for years, and I felt this picture showed exactly how she did business, which created our experience with GN ReSound as a company. It was pleasant, and fun, and just like glitter shoes. Stacey was our Rep, and she has moved to other responsibilities now, but I know that I could call her today if I needed her help, and it would be shiny all over again (just like glitter shoes). She would be fun, and laughing, and helpful. Shoes will be shoes if you are just looking for function, but when they sparkle…
It is an approach that we constantly work on in our offices at Family Hearing & Balance Center, and Cardinal Hearing Centers. I have been to too many medical offices in my life, and the “Name?”, “Do you have and appointment?”, and “The dirty looks from behind the closed widow” greetings aren’t very glittery at all.
But when I sit in our offices with open windows all the time, and I hear “Good morning.”, and “How are you?”, and “Good to see you.”, it is fun to watch our staff sparkle. Thanks Stacey. There is NOTHING like glitter shoes.
I love the analogy of the glitter shoes as our office “personality”! We can get you your own pair of glitter shoes if you want! 😉
Me too! Love that!
Yes, Dale needs a pair of glitter shoes! LOL
Dale, you absolutely need some sparkle shoes!
Right on.
I like the thought of us being sparkle shoes! And its true. I also have had the stale office experience in other offices. You won’t find that here. A LOT of our patients are just like family/freinds here. They come in, have some coffee, talk about families, the weather, vacation plans, the holidays, what they had for supper. I love it. *side note, our Jen does have sparkle shoes that go very well w her personality. 🙂
I agree. Our front office has the “sparkle”
We truly are a FAMILY centered practice!
Great points Mary! Loved it!

Awe, thanks Marie! I think I will wear my sparkle shoes on Friday. I also call them my Dorthy shoes because they remind me of ruby slippers! 😉
I love this blog! I think it fits our offices perfectly. My favorite part of my work day are the patients we see.
It shows. Thank you Jen!
Love this blog Dale. Love the shoes too. I think our patients are sparkly too!
Joanne,
Thank you for making it sparkle as well!
Yes, we have been complimented many times how great our customer service is.
