Low on or Out of hope?…..Tinnitus By Dr. Richard Reikowski, Au.D

How are things going for you? A rather simple but involved question. Either positive or negative, the response is real.

I wish I could do something better, may often be the answer for those with tinnitus. Recognizing and being accepting to talk about tinnitus, or ringing in the ears, is a vital start. We wish to build upon hope in what can be achieved. That is, in lessening the negative connection to the unwanted tinnitus. What the patient wishes to achieve is  large part of finding the potential solution.  Most often, we hear patients share how they are “very low on having hope” as prior been told there was nothing that could be done to help their tinnitus. Whereas, there is a vast array of devices intended for reducing the tinnitus. Our practices are continuing to discern each of these treatments, FDA approval, and their outcome measures.

Whether the tinnitus is in conjunction with hearing loss, or associated with one that has normal hearing sensitivity, the answer or help can vary. We truly wish to be a part of offering hope for those in need. Let’s focus on raising hope…..

That’s sad, because there really is hope and relief.
