Losing your marbles….

When someone says, you’ve lost your marbles, it most commonly means your not quite thinking clearly or your mental acuity was thought to be challenged. In this case, it was simply a hearing loss, that someone used the marble phrase to describe their lack of following the conversation. This can be quite hurtful or some might say funny. Knowing that it’s not a persons mental status, but instead a hearing loss, is a great start for improvement. Suffering hearing loss or evening deafness can be helped with appropriately fit digital hearing aids, medical or surgical approaches, as well as a cochlear implant in various cases. Our practice is here to help in any way you need.

So many different kinds of marbles. Glad we have so many technology choices to meet so many different needs.

Sometimes I need all the puzzle pieces in a conversation to understand what I need to understand. Even then….

Many people would be surprised how even a mild hearing loss can alter social interactions.
