Loop Hearing: It works!! By Dr. Richard Reikowski, Au.D Family Hearing and Balance Center Akron, Ohio

We encourage patients to try new things. We have a patient that enjoys, so very much, live opera, performances, and lectures. She has traditionally had difficulty enjoying these events due to her hearing loss as well as the sound systems. We discussed the use of connecting her hearing aids/devices directly to the sound systems, at these events, through the T-coil and loop system within a performance/lecture hall. Her words below share her success and excitement. We share in this joy with her. Thank you!

Please, see her words below….

The loop works very well.  It was the first time that I have been able to understand every word that Gerhardt Zimmermann says from the stage.  He likes to talk to the audience and has a great sense of humor.  I could hear his jokes this time very clearly.  At first the orchestra seemed miked and a little brassy but after intermission, I wasn’t even thinking about the loop – just enjoying the music.  It wasn’t until I got back in my car and wondered what the hum was that I remembered the loop setting was still on.  It is an amazing assist.  Thank you for sticking with me.  R.S.

Thank you R.S. for allowing me to continue helping you. I am committed to your success.
