“I’m eavesdropping on conversations”…… By Dr. Richard Reikowski, Au.D Family Hearing and Balance Center

With my new hearing devices I can hear conversations from across the room.

This cute, young patient in her 80’s shared this with me. She felt empowered with the ability to be able to hear so well that she actually wondered of she is or was eavesdropping. I relayed that as she monitors the room she’s in, that often we all hear miscellaneous conversations. Not on purpose, per se, but just happens that we hear the passive conversations all around us when our hearing is improved. It’s moments like this that allow us to see within a world of hearing loss and peoples lives. It’s our pleasure to help people hear to their fullest potential!

Very nice to bring the world of hearing to an 80 year old again.

That’s cute! It’s true, with normal hearing we can hear a lot around us… sometimes things we don’t want to hear! 🙂

      Gail,
Agree. There are many things we may prefer not to hear….:)

I always wonder who is listening to my conversations while I’m at a restaurant. You never know!
