I thought the sun got brighter! ……By Dr. Richard Reikowski, Au.D Family Hearing and Balance Center

First experiences can be very special.

With new sounds being heard, as she left the office for the first time with hearing devices, she said “I thought the sun got brighter, I could hear the birds chirping”.

She said to her husband that she could hear the fan running in the car. At home, so many new and pleasant sounds were now audible.

She had to laugh when she said, I never knew my husband sniffed as much as he does…LOL

This patient, simply smiles more….:)

It’s wonderful to be a part of these wonderful new beginnings in life!

I love to hear this from patients!! Especially when they thought an exterminator came out and took care of all of the crickets, only to realize that once they got their hearing devices, the crickets were there all this time!

I love this! My favorite part of a patients visit is when they tell me all the things they are now able to hear due to their hearing devises. There is such happiness in their voices and expressions!

I didn’t realize I shuffled my feet as much as I do.
