I realized that I don’t have a hearing problem… By Dr. Richard Reikowski, Au.D

A Patient was telling me:

When everything is working right, I realized that I didn’t feel that I have a hearing problem. It’s just that good, says a patient.  I have had a severe hearing loss for many years, for as long as I can remember. When all is working well with my new digital Resound LiNX 3D hearing aids, I feel like my hearing has returned to normal. Just recently, I noticed I wasn’t hearing as well as I think I should and after having them looked at, it appeared that moisture in the microphone ports cause a muffled sound of other’s voices. Streaming calls and music from my cell phone to my hearing aids was perfectly fine. That is, it points that there is an issue with moisture from the outside.

It was discovered that the sounds coming from speech and others were being muted by the Gore Tex covers. A little cleaning is all it took.

All is fine now! We are devoted to helping each patient hear as successfully as they can!

Sometimes it is simple, but can make all the difference.
