I have come to this conclusion…

I have learned a great deal in my time on this earth, says this little sweet 94 years young lady. She has such a vitality in her voice and demeaner. Even talking about walkers, she said that as a child she was very conscientious of her posture. She would remind her children to stand straight with shoulders back, in a smile, as her daughter looked over agreeing with a grin, yep, “she did”. She went on to elaborate that many walkers cause people to lean over too far and the designs that are taller allow people to stand more upright. She thinks of these things, she says. Her mind is always going. She and I enjoy chatting with each other on her quarterly visits.

When she takes her hearing aids off, the conversation ends and she is distant from others. She is so appreciative of how much they help her to connect with others where she lives! I enjoy seeing her and it’s a true pleasure having the continued opportunity to help her hear to the best of her abilities!
