Honestly, I would like just “one” hour of peace and quiet from my tinnitus…..By Dr. Richard Reikowski, Au.D Family Hearing and Balance Center

This is real awareness to how ringing in the ears affects lives.

This comment really caught my attention.  Is this request within reason? Yes, it most certainly is, and I do believe it’s possible. There are many who suffer from tinnitus who are not aware of the potential solutions to lessen the unwanted noises in their ears. As we chatted, he replied that he feels the ringing in his ears causes him to not hear others. When asked further, he simply said that the sounds in his ears are louder than the speech he’s trying to hear. Delving further, we discovered a hearing loss in both ears that quite easily is affecting his understanding of speech, in a multitude of areas and environments, as well as a pitch match and understanding of his tinnitus. We now can start on a plan of solutions…..

We are pleased with so many potential answers found in clinical devices to help patients with a combination of hearing loss and tinnitus. It’s in this discernment, that we find the best option to match a patient’s need. I will look forward to helping him enjoy “many hours of peace and quiet” from his tinnitus. Maybe even a lifetime….:)

I hear this often. Patient’s with tinnitus treatment state that they love the therapy since it does give them a “minute’s peace” from their tinnitus.

I’m so glad there are therapies to help give that moment of peace and relief and that our offices have those therapies available to our patients. I have experienced two minuets of ringing in my ears before and I can not imagine not being able to have relief from that.

It’s so sad that all these people ask for is a moments peace. It’s so inspiring to be able to help these people get the simple thing they ask for that others have found. Am so happy that these people are finding the moment of peace through the people and technologies that are out there.
