Found in the Leaves….Easy! By Dr. Richard Reikowski, Au.D Family Hearing and Balance Center

Pile of fall leaves with fan rake on lawn

I am a retired mechanical engineer from Goodyear Tire Co. where I worked around some really noisy machinery, which brought me to Dr. Rich. Up until Tuesday, the neatest technology I was aware of was a microprocessor that would call the plant manager at home in the middle of the night if productively on the machine it was controlling fell below 80%.

Now I see that such advanced technology, beyond my understanding, is available in hearing aids. Let me share a story, Tuesday, I was mowing my one acre yard, one of my brand new digital hearing aids fell out of my ear. I noticed it later and went hunting for  it with my new iPhone app. After an hour, I found it right in the grass!
Truly amazing! I would have never found the old ones, just hunting around the yard…. The Resound LiNX2 digital hearing aids are the best!
I am THANKFUL for such advancements in helping me to hear as well as being able to find them when lost!

So glad we have this now. I use to tell my patients before this feature to rent a metal detector to find it in their backyards!!

      Kristie,
I am too. These GPS location features do work! Good point on the metal detector. Did it work for them?

Unbelievable!!! What a find and to look for about an hour says how determined this patient was in using the app. Wow!
