Desyncra Shows Potential with Tinnitus!……By Dr. Amy Welman, Au.D Family Hearing and Balance Center

Desyncra is a new tinnitus treatment therapy to our office after the company’s research showed the improvement of reducing a person’s disturbance from their tinnitus by stimulating the auditory control center of the brain. The treatment “de-synchronizes” abnormal neural activity in the auditory control center which results in the presence of tinnitus. Recently a patient contacted our office after seeing our name listed as a provider on the Desyncra website and reading the same impressive research we found. After almost a year of constant disturbing tinnitus he decided to get help. After completing a tinnitus assessment which determined he was a candidate for the Desyncra treatment, he was fit with the device and has been using it successfully for about 3 weeks. The treatment will last about 6 months and we will collect data at each visit to ensure his tinnitus disturbance is reducing and he is making progress to be able to complete his college degree without his tinnitus causing frustration and distraction. Please, be on the lookout for continued updates of Desyncra progress for helping those with tinnitus.

As with Descyncra, and many potential solutions for patients to get help for their tinnitus, we are always seeking knowledge….

Yes, he seemed very pleased when he left our office that day. I’m excited to see his progress as he returns to our office for treatments.
