Behind the Scenes….By Dr. Amy Welman Au.D Family Hearing and Balance Center

Have you ever gone through your day and thought about all the people who are “behind the scenes” that make your day easier?   What about the people who get up before the sun to start the grill and the coffee pot where you pick up breakfast, or the people who mopped the floor and stocked the shelves at the grocery store so you can grab what you need without any effort.  I think of the people who do the “dirty jobs” and who have to clean up after us as we leave a trail of mess everywhere we go.  I’ve had “behind the scenes” jobs which I am most proud of because I helped make people’s day better.  I feel like hearing aid companies have a lot of  people who don’t get recognized or considered enough.  People who are engineering and building and polishing and shipping the hearing aids.  It’s amazing all the effort others make to help people to hear better and have a better quality of life.  Audiologists just are the lucky ones who get to see people’s eyes light up when they put on a hearing aid for the first time.  But we can’t do it without our behind the scenes people. Not at all.
