This coming from a daughter to her father….are you feeling alright? She felt that he wasn’t feeling well as he wasn’t responding to her, as she recalled he used to, during her visit from out of state. After their conversation at home, it became evident to pursue help and a better understanding of the problem. The hearing loss made it rather challenging for him to hear and enjoy the visit and everyday life. These hearing issues, slowly progressing, made his hearing loss difficult to recognize as many feel the same.
He feels now, after chatting, that when he can’t hear he tries to control the situation. Otherwise, he can’t hear others and their voices are muffled especially when he doesn’t know the topic of the conversation. As I have become very familiar with this man, we soon became aware that this was disruptive to his enjoyment of gatherings and he knows that there must be better ways of hearing.
Harry is very optimistic to hear better! It’s a pleasure to be a part of his family connections and to offer assistance.
Current digital processing with hearing aids is truly remarkable.
Awesome. It is so nice when you can see that you have helped someone make a difference in their life and see they are improving in their quality of life.
Thank you Mary! it sure is rewarding!
Can’t wait to hear about Harry’s outcome!
I am equally excited and hopeful for improvements for Harry! Thanks Jen!
What a great story. I know that I don’t connect as well when I can’t hear.
Thank you for sharing Dale!
